An opportunity to create an individualized program of study

Your goals are unique, and your degree should be too.

Our Master’s and PhD programs let you pursue your individualized educational and professional goals

The School of Health and Exercise Sciences offers graduate degrees through the Interdisciplinary Graduate Studies (IGS) program program at UBC’s Okanagan campus. IGS offers students opportunities to pursue graduate studies across disciplinary boundaries, and to tailor their course of study to suit their particular needs. IGS programs are greatly facilitated by our smaller size, thereby allowing students to work more intimately with faculty across a variety of departments and disciplines. The structure allows for both interfaculty and intercampus arrangements for supervision and courses. The course and program requirements provide structure to ensure quality in both the breadth and depth of the student’s academic experience. Students may obtain a graduate degree at the Master or PhD level.

Students are also encouraged to contact their intended research supervisor directly with any questions. For individual faculty member homepages and contact information, please visit our faculty listing.

Details on the IGS Program can be found in the Academic Calendar or on the College of Graduate Studies website.

We are currently accepting applications from prospective graduate students. For information, please contact our graduate co-ordinator, Dr. Ali McManus.
