Graduate Health and Exercise Sciences Society
Graduate Health & Exercise Sciences Society (GHESS) is a student-led group which strengthens the connection between students, faculty and staff. GHESS is a common platform to organize events, both social and academic. The aim of its activities is to enhance the academic and social environment of the School.
Events
Due to COVID-19, events will take place online or in-person on a case-by-case basis. Students will be updated as information becomes available.
Lab Socials
GHESS is dedicated to building a dynamic research culture that promotes academic discussion between students and faculty members. The semesterly Science Socials (Dec & April) are designed as an opportunity for graduate students to describe the research focus of their lab in broad terms and to bring together members of the School on an informal basis.
Annual Graduate Student Research Day
Each year, GHESS hosts Graduate Student Research Day to showcase the research underway in the School of Health and Exercise Sciences. The annual event welcomes all graduate students, faculty, and staff. Graduate students are invited to attend or present.
Monday bi-weekly Mingle
Once on-campus events are allowed, bi-weekly Monday meetings will take place at 12pm for students to catch up with each other over lunch, ASC 460.
